The Story
Dutch King William of Orange introduced gin to Londoners during his reign in the late 17th century. The King’s orders were to liberalise the production of gin, and so the rapid expansion of small, artisanal distillers spurred Londoners’ near-obsessive love affair.
Bottles made their way into the hands of poets, artists, aristocrats and soldiers alike. It truly is the spirit of Dutch Courage – a bottle that was picked up and could never be put down.

15ml Sugar

Top soda for Rickey.
METHOD
Shake all ingredients in Boston tin, traditionally double strained into a martini, garnish with pegged mint sprig. For a gin Rickey strain over ice into Collins and top with soda.
