The Story
During the 1920s, Ernest Gantt and his grandfather were bootleggers, smuggling goods like rum from the Caribbean. In 1933, after using his college fund to explore the Caribbean and South Pacific, Ernest opened Donn’s Beachcomber in Hollywood, featuring his collection of souvenirs, knick-knacks, and elaborate cocktails. Simultaneously, Victor“Trader” Bergeron, inspired by Donn Beach, opened a bar named Hinky Dinks. Heinitiated a trend by trading drinks for island-themed items and wouldaffectionately become known as Trade Vic.
As prohibition ended and the GreatDepression began, these bars, offering an escape for many, marked the inceptionof Tiki Culture and Cocktails.

30ml Fresh Lime Juice
15ml Coconut Syrup.
METHOD
Shake all ingredient with ice, double strain into a chilled martini glass.
