Escaping war and persecution in Prussia, Christian Auricht traveled to Australia, finding a new home in the beautiful Barossa Valley. Planting the Langmeil ‘The Freedom’ Shiraz that still thrives today, his vines are considered the oldest Shiraz in the world; having been too distant from phylloxera outbreaks that decimated the European vines. Our 1842 Shriaz Gin is aged for over twelve months in a single Langmeil Shiraz barrel. It emits a rich bouquet of fruits, herbs and oak, entwined with hints of sweet spices and lovely, silky tannins. Made to honour the vines & man that got away.
This historically inspired spirit is based on a 100 year old wheat recipe which blends a selection of traditional botanicals within a vapour infused Copper pot still.

INGREIDENTS
60ml Bavay 1842 Shiraz Gin
30ml Fresh Lemon Juice
20ml Shiraz Reduction/Sugar Syrup
1 egg white
METHOD
Add all ingredients to Boston shaker, Dry Shake, Add ice and wet shake, Double Strain into a Martini Glass.
GARNISH
3 drops Aromatic Bitter + Shiraz Grape.
